Winaero Tweaker

Winaero Tweaker is a completely free program that will allow you to adjust over a dozen "secret" Windows options to give you a more personalized experience. The app is compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, and Windows 11, with some exclusive settings for specific operating system versions.

Portable or Standard mode, you choose

Winaero Tweaker offers so many options that even during the installation process, you can choose whether to install it on your PC or simply unzip all the files in a folder of your choice to create a portable version of the software. It is important to mention that you'll be able to use all the program's features, regardless of the mode you choose. The portable version is simply easier to move or delete.

Customize the look and feel of Windows

On the left sidebar of the Winaero Tweaker interface, you'll find a series of drop-down menus with all the program's features. The first ones, Appearance, and Advanced Appearance Properties will allow you to customize the appearance of Windows however you like. Thanks to these options, you can turn Aero Lite on and off, change the appearance of Alt+Tab, slow down animations, and change the color of the title bars, the icon fonts, the system font, or the size of the menu bars, among other things.

Edit the behavior of various Windows features

The following two options in the sidebar are Behavior and Power On. You can find some interesting options here, such as disabling Windows ads. You'll also be able to turn on and off Aero Shake and Aero Snap, SmartScreen, Windows Update, or Automatic Maintenance whenever you want. When starting the computer, you can choose the startup image you want to see, hide the name of the last active user, or change the message on the Windows startup screen.

Customize the taskbar and context menu

Winaero Tweaker offers many customization options for all aspects of Windows, but it has by far the most options for the context menu. At your disposal are over 60 different settings for customizing the Windows context menu. You can add or remove any feature you frequently use, so you can access your favorite features simply by right-clicking on an icon or the PC desktop.
